The second he saw her, not a moment later was she in his arms. He missed her terribly, considering they hadn't been able to see eachother much. He was excited to spend so much time with her ahead of them. So he couldn't help but to embrace her quickly, his hair now tangled with hers, you couldn't make out her black from his black. His right foot lingered behind him and when he pulled out from her he leaned back on it and brought his left leg back as well. He smiled at her, no teeth, just shy water smile. His shoulders weren't meant to be shrugged but he had that habit of letting his neck sink down, the bad posture he took advantage of having when his parents weren't around to yell at him for it. For some reason it felt like forever since they'd seen eachother. Emmett didn't even know why. She just wasn't around as much lately. It seemed like Emmett was being waved at in the halls by Pru and Marcellette than he was actuallying seeing Mary Jane. They texted, they called, they did see eachother atleast once a day. Recently she was just always off doing something else, being somewhere else. It almost made him actually glad they had to do this, just so he could spend some time with her.

When Emmett had called her and told her that they were to go home for the weekend to talk to their parents, she had been with Ari. And before that, she was with Ari. And... a few minutes prior to seeing Emmie, she was with Ari. She was with Ari a lot. She actually found it a little liberating, as bad as it seemed to her. She didn't have to worry all the time about Emmett, she had found an outlet. And when Em had hugged her when he first saw her, she found herself not needing the hug as much as she used to. "Hey," she said softly after they had pulled out from the hug. "You ready for this?"

"Is that a trick question?" he asked, restlessly holding and rubbing lightly at the strap of his AnimalKingdom bag. His right foot was turning over, to balance back and forth on it's side. It was nice to not really need anything when going home. They had clothes there, and pretty much almost everything they would need, so it was like the perfect trip. Emmett only brought socks, some shirts, and a jacket. Plus a toothbrush and pocket-electric sudoku.

She adjusted the strap on her own messenger bag, devoid of it's usual books and replaced with clothes and personal effects. She stared out to the parking lot. "Are they here yet?"

He shook his head just slightly, barely shifting an inch. He didn't even look out into the blacktop, he just stared at her with large innocent eyes and watched her every, which wasn't a lot, move. He began chewing into his bottom lip knowing she probably could feel he was staring at her- what was she thinking? He looked down, now going through thousands of answers and theories to that question.

She glanced at him to see him shake his head. She nodded slightly and sat on the curb, her bag balanced on her bended knees. She jumped slightly as her pants vibrated, and she pulled out her cell phone. It was a text from Ari. She rolled her eyes at her boyfriend's usual antics, and texted him back. She flipped her phone closed and put it back in her pocket. She looked back up at Emmett, who was still standing, and she was pretty sure he had been staring at her. "Sit with me, Emmie."

Emmett carelessly turned on his heels to face the drive thru street. He kicked up his left leg and let himself drop to the curb to sit near her, about six inches between them. He pulled down on the hem of his left pant leg- or shorts leg, as he was wearing pants hemmed just below to bottom of his knees, but when he sat the came up and he didn't like it. Especially seeing his newest of bruises and it made him twitch. He also pulled up his left sock aswell, knee socks. He wasn't a fan of showing leg. And again it had no added attraction with the purple and black dots from the blood blisters under his skin. He sided, leaning back a bit for a moment but then came forward, resting his arms on his knees now, though being more sensitive on one side than the other of course. His arms were gloved with those arm warmers they'd won at the RENT movie showing, even though you couldn't see the logo as it was coverd by his quarter sleeve purple shirt. He sighed and scratched at the back of his head hoping she'd start conversation as usual, since conversation starters and Emmett just didn't mix.

She scooted towards him a little and leaned her head on his shoulder. She linked her arm through his and pulled slightly. "Did you sleep at all last night?" she knew that he couldn't sleep when he was nervous. "You didn't come and see me."

He was surprised by the extreme relief that washed over him and his heart skipped a beat when she came closer to him, not only that but wrapping her arm with his. He had began to feel like she wasn't as eager to see him as he was her, but atleast now he really knew she wasn't just being nice or didn't even want him around. Atleast he hoped this wasn't just an act, and that she really was being genuion with her actions. "Uh...I...stayed up and played." he shrugged. "Neopets, sudoku, more Neopets..."

She giggled softly into his shirt. "Dork." he knew he was, and probably didn't need her telling him so, but she did anyway. She squinted out into the road, and spotted a black BMW driving up. "Hey, rise and shine Count Dorkula," she nudged him. "The eighth and ninth dwarfs are here. Martial Issues and Tactlessness."

He smirked before he even knew what he was doing. It was an unintentional pity smirk, because really he wasn't laughing. He's parents splitting up would really suck. His smirk wasn't long lived. His body was forced to the side, his shoulders first then his head jerking to a tilt then back up. He was a weakling compared to her and she made it known. Not that she was proving it on purpose- she could just shove his shoulder and he'd have to take a few steps back. "...Oh joy." he said after a long pause. Then repeated his enthusiasum as he noted the Disney bag he picked up with him as he stood after her. "Hee-hu, oh boy." he quoted quietly but with a perfect Mick impression. He inhaled deeply, and began combing back his hair hoping it looked decient enough for them. They were hard on him, but he didn't know anything else, so he accepted it.

"You look fine," she told him, bringing his hand down and holding it at his side. "Stop fidgeting, that's what they'll get you for." She slung her bag over her shoulder again and waited quietly for the hearse-- car to arrive.

Great. Mary catching him for stuff like that and then advicing him about what his parents thought of him and what they'd come after him with. His head literually twitched joltedly to the right as he tensed up over it. And as a spazzing after effect his arms and wrists and joints as usually got tense and locked up, so awkward that it hurt and now he had to shake out his hands and his face felt hallow, as he could guess it might even be a bit pink now. Boy did he hate himself. Emmett continued to flex and then fist up his hands over and over, his elbows in tight at his sides. He was such a basket case, the poor boy. The car stopped ahead of them and didn't back up. He bite down hard on last time on his lip and when his erks were satisfied he stopped and watched his mother get out of the car. He was surprised she was going to greet them- then again she always did. Though every time it still seemed out of character for her.

Before the car came to a stop, Caylee reached for one of Emmett's spazzing hands and laced her fingers through his, squeezing it. The car stopped, then, and a woman got out. Emmett's mom was like a spitting image of her son, save for a few anatomy changes. She had the same dark hair, though unlike Emmie's, it was curly. Her eyes were the same piercing blue, but like Caylee, she covered them with glasses. Her face was easily changeable, going from benevolent to angry in less than three seconds. Caylee had learned that growing up in the house.

He could tell his mother was just giving him that look. They were teenagers now, they didn't have to hold hands like that anymore, and it was cute before but at this age was it interely appropriate? Tossing her hair in the back with her hand she made her way around to the back of the car and approched her children. Pulling Caylee against her first, taking her from Emmett while he tucked his newly cold hand into his pocket, she kissed the top of her head. "You two ever heard of a thing called sleep?" She thought they both looked exhausted. Maybe it was the excuse she was making for herself, since neither was too thrilled to see her. She came to pat her boy on the back. He'd taken an awkward step forward, but realized she wasn't exactly hugging him, and slowed himself down, stepping back again. She looked at him strangely. "You are so odd." She said it with a smile of sorts, but it just didn't bring the same comfort as Mary Jane's name calling. After a head pet to her baby boy she came back to MJ's side and walked with them to the car with her hand on Caylee's back.
