When she was satisfied with the bed, she climbed back down, leaving Caylee on her pillow. She sat next to Emmett, her legs copying his. "Are you okay with the bottom bed?"

Emmett could feel his face heat up a bit as she came to sit by him, surprised by her actions. And by his own complextion now. "Oh well...um...y-y-yeah..." he stuttered to her impulsively. "Thank you." he squeaked meekly. He kept his lips in their usual pout, though he didn't mean to. He almost wanted to smile at her. He didn't even know why. She was sunny and cute, but he just sat here and stared back down to his feet.

"Mmkay," she put her chin to her knees. "What do you do for fun, Emmie?" The nickname just popped out, she had a history of shortening people's name.

Emmett's pale cheeks filled with a lovely bright pink. He didn't know if he liked the name or not, it just made him feel weird. Feel so different from when people said his name. He thought it was a good feeling, but he really couldn't tell for sure. He didn't know what to think about it. "...Um...um..." he said in a high pitched voice. It almost made him want to cry that he couldn't answer her question. He really didn't do anything around here. There was television, but he wasn't a fan. It wasn't 'fun' exactly. Though he was becoming a fan of a few black and white sitcom shows that his parents usually watched. I Love Lucy and stuff like that.

"I like to sing," she saved him from awkwardness. "And sometimes, when my foster parents would let me, I'd act in the school play. I played Cinderella once."

"That's really cool." he told her honestly, turning his head towards her. "I...I like to act..." After a pause from when he spoke he nodded. His parents had put him in some shows- these one week of rehearsals then two preformances shows. They travelled from city to city and did this program for kids. Something about acting just set something off for him. A lot of people were amazed that he was as passionate about it as he was, considering what he did on stage was the last thing people would expect from him. Not this small timid boy.

"That's really cool, too," she smiled at him. "I like to dance as well, but I'm not very good at it. I like singing a lot more. The last house I was at loved when I used to sing."

Emmett nodded. "Y-you must be...really...really good." he said quielty and swallowed the lump in this throat. All the show that he'd been in involved singing but he didn't want to talk about himself. Emmett hated, with a passion, talking about himself. Listening about himself, he just didn't like it. He much muuuch rather talk and hear about other people. It was certainly a lot more interesting, that was for sure.

"Maybe. I don't know. It's rude to be selfish," she recited. She rolled back onto the bed, her hands behind her head. "Do you think it'll be hard getting to sleep tonight? It's always hard the first night for me."

"Oh, well, um I don't know." he shrugged not sure how to give her an answer. He suddenly realized how weird it might be to share a room with someone at night. Figuring as he sleeped with lights and the television on. He usually fell asleep somewhere between Star Trek, Lucy, and Gilligan. He was now getting a bit paranoid about how things would work out. Not to mention he'd never shared a room with a girl before. Not that he could think of any reasons for it to be, it just still seemed a bit off.

"It's the new room. I'm just not used to the room and the bed... that's why I sleep with Caylee," she mentioned the cow that was above them, taking a nap. "I've had her since I was a baby. I sleep with her every night."

The left corner of his lips curled, smirling at her timidly. It was quite adorable, the strong connect she had to the cow. Emmett had never had that with anything. "Well...she should help then." giving a single nod. He was saying that if that's what her purpose was then it'd probably all work out as long as she was around. He just hoped his habits and him period wouldn't distrupt that.

"I could loan her to you, for one night," she kept her seriousness. "If you ever can't sleep. She really helps." Caylee was the only constant she had throughout her life. It was a big step to offer Caylee's services to someone else.

Emmett stared down at the soft plump animal before them both. He wasn't exactly sure how that sort of them would help him. Maybe it worked for her, but not all methods work the same for everyone. He didn't think it'd work with him. He already had a few stuff animals and they'd never given him any of that kind of security before. "Oh um...th-thank you buut...n-no-no I wouldn't want to take her from you. Thank you for the offer."

"Kay," she shrugged. "Well... if you ever change your mind... I'll be happy to share her with you. Only you, though. I trust you."
