Being in these parts was dangerious enough, but considering the time he could probably get it serious trouble for this kind of thing. Usually the safest hours to be sneaking about at night would be between 12.30 and 2.00. Now that it was not long to three, Emmett had to be beyond carefull. He sniffled one last time before leaving the stairs and coming down the familure hall. He had on a zipped up hoodie, his hair falling in his face. His liquid black eyeliner didn't have a hit of a smear, though you could barely make out the small light that little the pink tip of his nose. The silence was seriously freaking him out now and he picked up his pace slighty, his lips quivering as he stopped infront of Caylee's door.
Reaching up his right hand, he ran it down his face trying to calm his emotions down. He wasn't crying anymore but he might as well have been, though the lack of light was on his side, not showing off how tear stained his cheeks were. His arms were down infront of him, the sleeves just a bit too long, as all his clothes of that style were on him. With five quick and soft knocks he begged she'd answer. He couldn't come all this way for nothing.
"You've got...to be kidding..." Markie mumbled under her breath. Looking over to the left at the beds of her roommates, they either weren't disturbed by the noise, or they were ignoring it on purpose. Maybe she should too. Then again what if this creature going bump in the night didn't leave right away. She might as well, now that she was awake anyway. So dragging herself to the door she opened it to find a small girl- atleast common sense told her it had to be. "...um, yeah?" was her half whispered greeting to the not too welcomed guest who'd forced her up.
Emmett wasn't aware Mary Jane had more than one roommate. Atleast he assumed she was, unless she was just staying over. He knew this wasn't her one and only, since he'd had that single run in with Prudence in the park. This girl was suprisingly smaller than both him and Mary Jane, which was rare for their grade. "Uh- mm...ih-huh...i-is C-Caylee...?" he asked her quietly not able to get all the words out. Now he felt like just backing down and running, since someone else had opened the door.
"Uhhh..." Is this a dude? She couldn't help but wonder why he was here. She almost asked him if he was lost or something, but she didn't want to come off mean. Even if it was three A bloody M. She raised an eyebrow at him and gazed at him sadly. He sounded sick or something. Mark looked back at Prudence and then to the dark corner where Caylee should be. "She's...kind of asleep..." Yeah just kind of.

Caylee stirred as she was woken up by the sounds of hushed whispers. She was a very light sleeper. You had to be, when sharing a room with Emmett. If Emmett woke up and you weren't awake with him, disastrous things happened. She realized that she recognized the voices. One belonged to Mark, the other... to Emmett? Emmett! She shot up in bed, realizing that the wetter, strained voice belonged to her best friend. She got out of bed, just short of running to the door. She stopped suddenly, right behind Mark. "Emmie? Emmie, what's wrong?" she said, rushed. She could barely make him out in the dark, but from what she could see, Emmett looked horrible.

Stepping aside, she let Caylee take over this house call. She stayed lingering near the door, hoping they didn't think it nosey of her. She was just now growing extremely curious to the situation. She didn't hoover, but stood at a small distance behind her roomie. She obviously knew the kid, so she was become a lot more sensitive to his well being, hoping for his and Caylee's sake he was okay.
"I-I'm sorry...I didn't meant t-to wake you- I'm...uh..." sort of speaking to them both, feeling bad for the brunette, but mainly talking to Mary Jane. "I can leave- I just um...uh..." he didn't know what to say now. Now that he was here it was completely different. Not that he could have prepared to come here to her door, he just suddenly was feeling worse than before.

"Emmett, come in," she reached out and turning the dimmer so that Pru wouldn't be awoken, but so she could see him clearly. And, boy, she was right about him looking horrible. She took his arm and pulled him into the room, closing the door behind him. "Emmie, tell me what's wrong. What happened to you?"

He stumbled in as she pulled him forward and Mark shut the door quietly behind them. Caylee had never mentioned anything about a boyfriend. They looked a bit a like, maybe they were related. Or really it was just the hair that made them look even remotely a like, other than their height. She stayed at the door giving the two space.
"Nothing- nothing...I just um, I-I...I had to...s-see you, I just wanted to see you." he told her slipping out the the whisper but still soft spoken. He was deeply embarrassed by the looks both girls were giving him, and he felt worse that this was his first time meeting another one of Caylee's friends or whatever she was, and he looked like completely shit.

She didn't believe him for a second. He looked like he had been crying, his cheeks were stained with the markings of dried tears. "Did you have a nightmare?" she asked him softly, leading him to her bed to sit him down. "You've been crying, haven't you? Emmie, tell me what happened."

The moment he had a chance, and they were sitting on the bed, her towards the head and him the foot, he leand into her quickly, but his arms only slowly tightened around her. "No really I-I-I...I just h-had to...I needed to see you. I'm sorry. I'm so fucking sorry, Mary Jane." He hated coming in and doing this to her. He felt horrible about it, but he couldn't help himself. And he really did need to come be with her and hold her and just everything. It took everything in him not to sob into her right there.

"Hey, hey, hey," she murmured. She held a hand to the back of Emmett's head, holding him tightly to her. "It's okay, Emmie. It's going to be fine. Just tell me what happened. Talk to me, Em. I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere."

"Please, please don't." he begged her softly, as if she were to get up and walk out any second now. Emmett tightened and loosened his arms routinely and barried his face into her shoulder as she instructed him to. He tried not to rock back and forth in her arms or anything and tried so hard not to let out the tears again. He was a weak, and it was almost an understatement. He was just so relieved to be with her now.

"I won't, I won't," she promised, over and over again. She sat up slightly, trying not to move Emmett, and crossed her legs. One hand went down and shifted Emmett's lower body so his legs draped over her lap, bringing him even closer to her. "C'mon, Emmie. Tell me what happened. I'm listening."

"Oh god, MJ, I can't..." he shook his head slighly, after he'd brought it out of her shirt. He sat with her staring off to the side trying not to look at the other awake girl in the room, and the one infront of him asleep. He couldn't bring himself to explain everything that had just happened. This was seriously probably the worse thing he'd heard in a long time. It was something he'd always sort of been worried about, but now that it may be reality he just couldn't believe it. It really made him hate so many things right now. Especially his parents.

"Come on, Em, you have to," she prodded him gently. "I'll listen, you know I will. What's wrong?" She always worried when Emmett got into a state like this. She never knew what he was capable of doing if he didn't find her. That's why she thought that they needed to room together. They needed each other too much.

"Y-you're gonna- you-..." sniffed and his whole body shived right after. He was simply pathetic at this point and was completely aware of it. He wish he could control himself better but it wasn't really working for him right now. "You'll be...m-m-mad...at...me-e..." he shook and curled up to her more as he used his sleeves to wipe his brighter than ever blue eyes. He needed her so badly right now and still he was almost terrified of her at the same time.

"I'd never be mad at you," she responded truthfully. She helped him wipe his eyes, her thumb wiping off some of his eyeliner, then wiping it on the bed. "No matter what, I'll never be mad at you. Tell me, Emmie."

Emmett shook his head viciously, his eyes shut tighly. "I should have told you, I don't know why I didn't tell you, I don't know why they didin't tell you, I don't know why they told me. I'm so sorry- I should have told you. I'm such an idiot! Mary Jane, please, I'm sorry." His left hand came to her right shoulder, gripping at her shirt. The other hand held his head as he felt like he could just pass out. He felt like a terrible person and that he should. Like he had lied to her, or completely backstabbed her by keeping these things from her.
