He started sniffling again as he had on his way over to her dorm. They were quick and short, one after the other, like he just couldn't stop once he had begun. They paused for a moment as his breathing was loud and hit against Mary Jane's neck, but then just started up again. He thought it sounded and looked pretty moronic and became embarassed by the impulse but he couldn't stop. He paused again curling up more to her, but still holding onto himself. "I don't-neh w-want y-you to-to m-miss-" he couldn't talk, and his words were more shaken than before inbetween his sniffles and panting. The last thing he wanted was to take her away from school, and she did have classes in the morning, he knew she did. He couldn't expect her to be with him when he woke up, and he would never have asked her to. She had to go to class, he'd hate himself if she missed because of him.

"Don't worry about it," she instructed him quietly, stroking his hair once more. "You have enough on your plate, let me worry about my classes." She tried to pull one of Emmett's arms away from him, but it was clamped on too tightly to his body. She wrapped her arms around his torso and pulled him so he was right up against her and Caylee could envelope him in a hug. "You have to calm down, Emmie. Just calm down. You need to relax or you'll start hurting yourself."

He could feel a huge energy just drain from his head with her words. His face felt heavy and it was like he couldn't move. His jaw was starting to hurt but then would go away and come back. His body was stiff and it made his arms lock and hurt. Emmett shook his head at her. He wanted to come down and yet it was like he was fighting her. Maybe it was his cry for more, for her to keep helping him. Or not, maybe he just couldn't help but be stubborn. Either way he felt new shakes take over his body and he wanted to tell her she was wrong. He had to worry about it, and everything else. He didn't need to calm down, he was fine. And he was not going to hurt himself. He didn't need rest either. He was close to just screaming it at her, if he wasn't so hallow. The didn't want to sleep, in fear of what would play through his head while he was in bed.

"Emmie, look at yourself. You're all tense and..." she tried at his arms again, but they still wouldn't budge. "You need to relax your body. You're going to pull something. Please. J-just pl-p-please... just..." she never stuttered, and yet she found herself starting to shake and tremble. "Eh-he-mie... p-p-le-lease-please d-don't... don't shut me-e ou-ut."

He quickly wrapped his own arms around her now, forcefully bringing himself squeezed against her. Now she was scaring him. It was becoming too much and he told her so. "It's too much..." he whispered, chanting against her body. He felt like he could just burst, not explode, but shred and fall to pieces to be wisked away at a weak breeze. He did start to break down again, which was why he didn't want to hold her. New tears fell over the remains of the old and he barried his face into her stomach trying to stop and not have it be noticed at the same time. Though he was sure she'd eventually notice the new puddle on her shirt. He was scaring himself with his shaking and he would do almost anything to make it stop. He mumbled words and pleas into Caylee, but nothing could be made out, he wasn't even sure what he was saying or begging for.

Caylee shut her eyes tightly, wincing as deep inside her, a sob was wrenched out. "I do-don't wanna-a g-go, Eh-m-mie. Pl-please don't l-let me-e. I'll be bet-t-ter. I'll be a better fr-friend. I w-won't t-tease you. I'll be b-better. Just d-don't let me-e g-g-go..." She promised herself that she wouldn't cry. That Emmett needs her more than she needs him. But what if it was the opposite? That for once, Caylee needed Emmett more. That for once, she needed to be held and told that it was all going to get better. What if Emmett had to be unselfish and forget his problems like Caylee did with him? Would he do it? Or would she just make everything worse, make Emmett crack more.

"No, no, I don't care about that." he couldn't believe she was acting like their friendship was what would make this better. "I love you, I love your teasing, it's not you." he tried to convince her, picking his head up slightly so he could be heard and not swallow her shirt. He held himself tightly to her and as his shaking stopped his tears became heavier. "I don't want you to leave..." he cried, and then repeated it in a mumble back against her. He said it again one more time, half of the words were silent. "I dont' want- I- d-don't want my parents-...t-to..." he couldn't finish. Mainly he didn't want them to break up so then they could adopt Caylee. Then again, and he had no idea why, he really didn't want his parents to split. He never was able to feel very close to either of them, and at the same time they did have there moments every now and then.

"M-may-ybe-e.. they c-could ad-dopt-t m-me be-efore they..." she swallowed hard, hoping it would calm her down. She took a small pause from talking, bowing her head and trying to breathe. It was getting harder and harder and her breathes came short. She wanted to stop, she needed to stop, and yet she couldn't. She kept crying and crying and she couldn't breathe without have short, sharp breathes. "E-eh-m-m-ie..."

He uncurled himself so he could reach level with her and he came up so his chin was on her shoulder. Emmett had become very dependant over the years, and he thought he'd get better with age but it had only grew. Still he was an extremely caring person and he could easily give Mary Jane the same love and attention she gave him every day and any minute he needed it. His parents seperation was starting to finally sink in and it began to eat away at him. Still he had other things to worry about, like his crying sister in his arms. "Yeah- y-yeah?" as if she was calling to him to say something.

She shook her head, "I c-can't-can't-.. I ca-can't.. b-bre-breathe. I can't-..." she could only inhale, and when she did, her chest rose in short, stuck levels. She didn't realize just yet that she was hyperventilating, as she's never done so before. She felt constricted and it made her get more upset and uptight, rather than the relaxing that she needed. She tried to tell him again what was wrong, that she couldn't breathe normally, but it only came out in hics and short breathes.

Emmett was just short of going into his own panic attack but from the sound of it, someone seemed to beat him to the punch. He rose up slightly staring at her examining her over with his eyes. "Mary Jane?" With a strong swallow he came up and sat her up with him, forcing her to sit, thinking she could probably breath better if she wasn't laying down. Water droplets flew from his eyelashes as he watched over her. He combed back her hair and rested his hand on her back, the other above her chest. It was weird, but it just happened without him thinking about it. He reconized the gestures as what she had done with him so many times before. He looked at her, beyond frightened, and even though he knew this state it was completely different when it was happening to someone else.
She'd tried her best to give the two privacy but when it came down to something like this they weren't just crying into eachother, Caylee was struggling with breathing. Marcel sat up on her knees watching her closely. "Oh my god, are you okay?" she called to them quietly, not sure of what she could do. She didn't want to go break them up to help but still she didn't want to sit there and just watch if she needed something.

Caylee didn't know that Mark was up. And damn, she had been up this whole time. She only shook her head, trying to breathe. She wanted to tell her that she was fine. She wanted to lie and say that she'd be okay in a few minutes. She tried to breathe normally, taking a few deep, slow breathes, like she had instructed Emmett to do in previous occasions. "I-I'm fine... I'm fine..." she brought her knees up to her chest and wanted to curl up and vanish. "I'm sorry, I'm so, so sorry."

"No, no. Stop. Stop that." He put his hand on her knees pushing her legs down gently and pulled the covers off her before adjusting to sit on the top side of them. His eyes shook back and forth as the searched for some sign of her recovering from her state, and he tried not to panic over her. She wasn't allowed to say sorry, especially to him. It just wasn't allowed wheither it was a written ruler or not. And she didn't need to apologize over anything. "D-do you need water?" he asked almost in sync with Caylee's roommate as she asked basicly the same question right as he did.

She needed something to shield her tear stained face with, so she used her hands. She shook her head, rejecting the water and continued to whisper her apologies. To Mark for keeping her up, and to Emmett for ruining his life. That was a warped statement, Caylee realized after she thought it. But she continued to agree. If she knew she had put strain on the house when she had entered it, or at least, she thought so. She was probably the reason that the Brigg's wanted a divorce. And that Emmett was so shy. It was probably all her fault. And she was apologizing for it.

"Okay, you need to stop...you're...really-" freaking me out here! Emmett moved to sit a little more facing her, his hands gripped her shoulders and rubbed from time to time. The last thing he wasn't to see was Caylee totally loose it here. He couldn't predict what her reaction to all this would be, but he had hoped for something like this not to happen. He wondered if this was what she always thought, the fear ringing through his head, when he had his little episodes. He was very subject to these kinds of thing, and it was so surreal to watch someone else in his place. He was just thankful that she hadn't become completely overwhelmed in the attack she was having like he always did. Even when Mary Jane was having her weaker moments like right now she was still stronger than him and he still admired her for it.
