"He's adorable," she couldn't hold back a smile. "It's rare to get him on camera, he won't let anyone take a picture of him unless it's himself."

Pru cocked her head slightly, looking atCaylee's smile. "You like him, don't you?"

Another quick start. "Hey, listen you... you can't just... come into my dorm and... and... tell me who I like... Emmett! Emmett is my best friend and... and... he... and I... go way, way back..." she cracked. "And just look at him! How could you not have a crush on him?"

Prudence bit her lip. "So...how long have you had a crush on him? I mean, you were raised as siblings, right? Isn't that weird?"

"We weren't raised as siblings," Caylee closed the laptop. "We were raised as best friends. I mean, Emmie's parents didn't want another kid, they wanted a friend for their son. It's how we think of it. We don't like to be thought of as siblings. We get along too well for us to be siblings."

Pru chuckled. "I would have loved to have grown up with someone like that. A brother or a sister or even a ... a close friend."

"As long as your close friend isn't as adorable as Emmett is, then you're fine," Caylee put the laptop back in it's place. "Unrequited love sucks balls."

She giggled. "I wouldn't know, but that's a good piece of advice to grab onto."

"Definitely," she sighed. "You can't even tell him, you know? It'll be weird and shit."

"Well I guess so. The same thing kind of happened to me," Prudence said. She slid of of Caylee's bed and continued to unpack. She began putting away her clothes. "There was this one gi--special person. I thought we were friends."

"...Special person, huh?" Caylee raised an eyebrow at her. "Well, I just broke up with my girlfriend last week. Well, she broke up with me."

"Girlfriend?" Pru turned. "Did you say girlfriend?"

"Mhmm," she said nonchalantly. "My first. I mean, I've kissed them before, but my first... you know, girl friend. She left me a voicemail the second day I was here saying that the 'long distance thing really isn't working'."

"That's horrible," she said sympathetically. "That's almost as bad as a text message break-up."

"Almost, but not as bad," she agreed. "... why were you so... shocked? When I said girlfriend?"
