((Ha! <333))
As a special little treat to herself on her sixteenth birthday, Caylee decided to skip all of her classes and spend the day to herself before the small party she had planned in the dorm for herself, Emmett, Pru, Mark, and even Ari. She slept in that morning, still sleeping by ten o clock. She had no will to want to get up till at least noon. It was her birthday, after all. And she could do what she wanted.
Emmett and she had not come up with a plan for what they were doing on her birthday. If they were going out, staying in, hanging out, or just seeing each other in classes or at the party. She had told him that she wasn't going to her classes, so she was pretty sure that he'd either come to her or just meet her at her dorm at eight for the party. She hoped he'd be coming to her, she really didn't want to wait to see him.
The room was deserted, as should be the whole dorm building. Everyone had classes at that time, unless you were a senior and you had the time off. Caylee was beginning to wake up, but still stayed in bed. So began the pampering.

Caylee had slept in just a bit, and even so Pru and Mark were long gone by now. Which was perfect for the room's current state as Caylee was still in bed. The whole room was filled with balloons. Several layers, covering the whole floor and then building up, reached to about two thirds of the room. Enough so it would piled well higher than Mary Jane's head. They were all of the same brand, though much variation in colours, still they were all a neon quality and very clear. Every balloon had writting on it. Mostly just a word or two, others had a sentence. Either way the whole place was covered with balloon love.

When Caylee finally decided to get out of bed, she didn't even open her eyes until her feet were on the ground. And when she did open them, she blinked a few times, then closed them, thinking that she was only seeing something. But they were still there when she opened them again!
It looked like someone had robbed Party City.
She stood up and got closer to investigate what in the world the balloons were doing in her dorm. They all had messages on them, though she couldn't make them out where she was.

Two balloons stuck to the back of Caylee's head while another rolled over the others to come and bump her cheek. They were everywhere. Others hugged at her legs and torso, while the others vibrated from her arms pushing through them. Literually, they. were. everywhere. Filling the room from wall to wall to wall to wall. If the door were to open they'd flood out into the hallway.
One balloon near MJ's knee said "You" Another stuck to her shirt behind her back said "Beautiful" This trend went on and on if she were to look through them. Some created phrases while others were just words alone like Beautiful and infront of her face "Timeless". Another balloon floating at her behind actually had a poem, as a few other balloons did.

Caylee could barely move, tripping a few times as she tried to read every balloon. With each message she read, her smile got bigger and bigger.
A balloon snagged around her foot and she went sailing down to the floor. More balloons cushioned her fall, and it was all good. She army-crawled across the room to her nighttable, where she could get her phone. She sent a message to Emmett, reading - I woke up this morning and was almost suffocated by latex. Any idea why that is? <3 The Bday Girl.

And suddently every balloon in the room began to vibrate. A tone rang through the dorm, the one Caylee had set to Emmett's herself. She'd taken it upon herself to always pic out his three rings for her. The text one began to chime and his phone was always on ring & vibrate and that's what now made the balloons shake and some of the top once bounce.

Caylee nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound and feel of all the balloons jumping about. She turned around, but found that she couldn't even see across the room. She was lucky she didn't have a latex allergy.
"... Emmett?" she called out over the rings. "Are you in here?"
She pushed past the balloons trying to get a glimpse of black hair or blue eyes, but all she saw were neon balloons.

With a click the sound quickly and suddently was shut off and the balloons no longer thumped into eachother from the vibrations. Emmett walked more to his right and he could hear her taking steps towards his side of the room. The back of his knees hit Mark's pull out and he sat down impulsively with a squeek from the springs. He quickly stood and swam his way back all the way to the left til he was now more on her right as she kept walking in a diagnal.

Caylee twirled around at the squeak. "Aha, I heard you!"
She changed directions, now going in the opposite direction of Emmett's location, towards Mark's bed. Her knees ran into the bed, and she found no Emmett.
"Emmmiiiie?" she cried out again. "Where are yooou?"

His head turned to the right when he heard her voice. He was glad he'd jumped and moved from there, knowing she would come chase him down. Emmett looked around and grabbed a balloon. He began to recite. "When you are old and gray and full of sleep, And nodding by the fire, take down this book, And slowly read, and dream of the soft look Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace, And loved your beauty with love false or true; But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you, And loved the sorrows of your changing face.
And bending down beside the glowing bars Murmur, a little sadly, how love fled And paced upon the mountains overhead And his his face amid a crowd of stars."
All the while he kept moving and had turned, now walking backwards toward where she'd been before she ran to find him.

Caylee tried to follow the sound of his voice, listen to the poem, and walk without breaking her spine all at the same time. It didn't work too well. She still couldn't see anything. She stopped to listen for footsteps and to really try to listen to what Emmett was reading her.
"Emmm..." she crooned after he was finished. The room wasn't that big, she should've had no trouble finding him. Damn balloons. She went to Pru's bed, which she knew didn't squeak. They had tested it. She climbed on top and tried to look for a mop of black hair that she knew to be Emmett's.

He saw her head raise up out of the clouds as he let his read balloon roll away from him. He quickly ducked down and dived through to find another balloon from the floor level. He snatched a purple one and spoke up since he was now deeper in the balloons than before. "Time and again, however well we know the landscape of love, and the little church yard with lamenting names, and the frightfully silent ravine wherein all the others end: Time and again we go out two together, under the old trees, lie down again and again between the flowers, face to face with the sky."

Frustrated with her lack of results, Caylee jumped down from the bed, landing with a soft thud. She crouched down on the floor and glanced around, through the gaps in the balloons.
"I am going to find you, Emmie," she said to the room. "And when I do, I'm going to... do something. Just you wait."
She saw balloons being kicked out of the way, and she quickly tried to make her way over to there.

Emmett just chuckled and kept walking backwards. He tossed that purple balloon straight at the area he could tell Caylee was coming from. He'd grabbed a new one anyway and began to read the first half when he stopped laughing. "Tell her that's young, And shuns to have her graces spied, That hadst thou sprung, In deserts where no men abide, Thou must have uncommended died Small is the worth, Of beauty from the light retired..."

"Emmett..." she stopped walking for a second and stood in place. She pushed balloons out of her face if they crossed her line of vision. Not that there was much to see in the first place. "You are some kind of wonderful, you know that?"
