Caylee gasped as she finally got a good look at what she was actually seeing. She tilted her head back on Emmett's shoulder to get a good look. A hand came up to her mouth to cover the gawking. "Oh... my god," her words came muffled from behind her hand. "... the sky."
She suddenly turned around and attached herself to Emmett once more, her face going into his neck and shoulder. She had absolutely no words to offer him as a thanks. Well, actually, she had a whole lot of words. Just none that would make any sense if she voiced them.

Me beamed up at the sky right with her and lowered his chin to her open shoulder while she'd leaned back onto his. His hands were still holding her upper arms from when he'd spun her around to get the right view. Even this low confidence little bug knew she had to have liked it. The drama in her voice made him feel like they were right out of a movie. That's just how perfect that one little moment was. He giggled after the score came down from its high and again when she moved from his grip and embraced him once again.

"It's perfect," she murmured after a minute in his arms. She was finally starting to organize her thoughts. She lifted her face out of his neck and stared him in his eyes. She lowered his hood, just like she had raised it up for him. Her hands didn't go far and ran through his hair. She continued to gaze at him, her eyes shining brightly. Her voice wasn't raised, it was in a muted whispered. "Thank you, Emmett."

He wasn't one for these serious yet beautiful moments. They were just awkward for him - and his response to her thank you was a silly smile, the tip of his tongue peeking out between his teeth. He shrugged and dropped his head just to look up at her again. His right foot twisted, rubber to carpet. He reached over gently grabbing a green balloon and held it between them against his collar. Happy Birthday

Caylee brushed her hair behind her ears again and read the balloon. She looked back up to him with another grin. She took the balloon from him and hugged it to her. "Thanks..." she said again.
She grabbed his hand gently, curling her fingers around his, and pulled him with her, going to her bed. She let the balloon fumble through her fingers, floating away. She laid down on her bed, letting go of Emmett's hand as she gazed up at the mural across her ceiling. She turned her head to look at him again with another smile. "When did you do this?"

He grinned and followed her, smiling at her question. He kneeled at her side and his arms crossed over the bed right next to her and he rested his chin on top. "Magicly." he answered, even though that was not a time. "I can't tell you, it takes all the fun out of it. Don't be a magic killer."

"Emmie, I'm serious!" she looked at him, then glanced back up. "Is it like... actual paint? Or a stick on? Or what? It's gorgeous."

"Magic killer." he claimed. "You make Mickey Mouse cry." he assured her with a sad look in his eyes and a sharp nod.

"I couldn't care less about Mickey Mouse," she giggled. She reached out her hand to him. "Are you really going to stay down there while the birthday girlfriend is up here all alone?"

With an odd noise for effect, in his usual Emmie fasion he rolled up on the bed with her and went to her other side. "...No." he answered after the fact and gave her a grin. "Plans for the day?" he requested. "Since I totally skipped school and shit for you."

"Pft, like you actually wanted to go to school today," Caylee rolled her eyes. She went onto her side, facing Emmett. She took his hand in hers and put them under his cheek. "This is about as far as I got in my planning," she told him.

"Oh exciting." he teased, but so harshly. And she probably knew this since he squeezed her hand gently. "I think my chem test is going to be very jealous, though." he smirked at his own joke, a rare event.

"Then go to class!" she pushed him gently. "Geez, if you're going to guilt me about missing your tests and what not. It's my birthday, I didn't tell you to do anything special," she teased right back, making a face at him.

"You know I'm just kidding around." tempted to shove and nudge her right back. "...I don't even have a test today." he lied. Horribly. "I wanna do whatever you want to do! Let's do something ceraaazzeh. Like blow up something."

"Oh snap," she snapped her fingers. "I forgot my pyrotechnics at home. Oh damn."
She snuggled up to Emmett's side, pushing him down gently so he was completely on his back, curling up so her knees touched his thighs and her forehead touched his shoulder. "Can I save the balloons that I don't want you to throw away?"
