"I wasn't pushing your spazz buttons!" she protested. "All I did was kiss your cheek!"
Hehehee... spazz buttons. She'd have to remember that one...

"You did more than that! Please!" a tone that would suggest eye rolling. He slowly turned back to her, his arms lowered, but the back of his right hand rubbed at his cheek wishing he's gushing, blushing, loserness would go away. "You knew perfectly well what you were doing."

"Showing affection to my best friend," she replied. "But now that I see that it isn't all that wanted by said best friend, I'll be sure to stop."

He figured cuddling and hiding was better than just turning away from her. So that is what he did now, his face in her neck and hair, though his arms stayed tight against him, not wanting to force the act upon her. He's knees rubbed lovingly with hers and he shot them back quickly since he hadn't exactly done that on purpose.

She grinned silently. "No, no... it's okay. You don't have to give me all this sympathy cuddles. It's fine. You don't want me to show that I love you. It's understandable. I mean, since you don't love me back and all..."

"Shhh..." he hissed against her neck. And of course stayed right where he was. She was warm and he loved it. It just made him more sleepy and relaxed, and he closed his eyes trying to fully enjoy the skin on skin contact. It was true, Emmett hadn't been with anyone is quite a while, and sometimes time is just too long for a boy. Even Emmett of all people. He'd had experiance with that direct connection and closeness, so now that he'd gone so long without it sometimes it was hard to hold himself over. He came closer into her neck, the whole world around him fading as his nose sank into the bottom of her chin and the corner of his lips against her neck. Soon he was aware of what he was doing and pulled back staying more in the shoulder area for his own good. He didn't want her to think he was being weird or crossing a line or anything.

She didn't mind the crossing lines, not at all. And she finally gave into his cuddle, snuggling back up to him, her arms reached under his to grasp his shoulders. She was in absolute heaven when she felt his nose brush her skin as well as his lips. She didn't mind at all. Not one bit. She slowly shifted against him, hopefully unnoticeable, trying to get Emmett back into that spot. She didn't want him to move. She wanted him back. Badly. Unknowingly, Emmet gave Caylee everything she wanted from Ari. Love, support, just... Emmett-ness.

He resisted getting closer to her neck once more, again for his own good. This was Mary Jane of all people. And besides the fact she was his sister, and was in a relationship right now at that, he didn't want to use her for his own needs. He stayed close to her, but in their usual cuddling positions. Nothing more than that. He struggled with his arms, trying not to rub into her awkwardly as has happened before, those accidental chest graces, and so on. Emmett cleared his throat lightly, feeling her hair lift and fall back against him as he did.

She giggled again as he cleared his throat. The vibrations tickled her skin. Emmett still wouldn't go back to where he was, and she gave a small pout. Her arms went down around his waist, giving him a barely registrable hug. Her head bowed down into his head as the silence made her uncomfortable. "...You are my sunshine... my only sunshine... you make me hapPY... when skies are gray..."

He chuckled out loud nerviously and dug his forehead into her sleeve. She'd just made everything a bit more awkward, atleast on his end. And although he loved her voice, he hoped she didn't continue. "Wow." he commented quietly while still with his nervious Max Goof-like laughter.

"Oh shush," she laughed, hitting his shoulder lightly. "It was quiet. I don't like the quiet. Neither do you. It was either me singing or you ending up spazzing."
She laughed again, starting another song. "Give my regards to Broooadway. Remember me in Herald Square..."

"Uugh, paaaass." he requested, turning his head to the side to stick his tongue out to describe his disgust for the song. "How about more conversation than singing? I like that idea. Lets go with that. Mmhm." pulling his head up to look at her now. Hopefully they could come up with something better to talk about. Perferably not anything spazz-prone or boyfriend related.

"Fine," she said, and leaned down and captured his lips in a kiss.
HA. She wishes.
What actually happened- "Ugh, you suck," she pouted, fixing herself back against him. "What should we talk about, then?"

"Iiii...don't pick the topics. You know that." Emmett couldn't exactly say he prides himself on being the man of conversation. Usually he just stayed there, listened, nodded, and kept quiet. Well between the two of them he was able to jump in at some point. Though as far as starting the discussion- no. Not so much his thing.

"Well, I want to sing," she stuck her tongue out at him. "So either pick a topic or listen to me sing the past 100 years of broadway."
