"Blackmail? Please." turning back to face her, now laying on his left side. "I couldn't even try. Anything I have on you- you'd have something seven times heavier on me. And you know it." He knew she knew it. They definitely knew too much about eachother, that was for sure. And he had too much to be paranoid about that she knew- if something ever happened. Though of course it wouldn't. Still she did have plenty to work with. "I couldn't even try." he chanted again.

Caylee just giggled, rolling her eyes. "You know, Emmett Briggs, not once since I've been in this dorm room tonight, have you given me a hug. I've cuddled up to you, just begging for a hug, and you've just been all high and mighty up there. How is that supposed to make me feel? Well, I'll tell you. I feel quite saddened by this. It's hurtful, Emmie. Really, it is."

He turned red and shyed away. He wasn't one to give hugs. He hardly ever gave hugs. Usually he didn't have to. If there was meant to be a hug, others were the ones to give it. Emmett was always on the recieving end. And it was easier that way. He was such an emotional child. ...teenager. The only times he'd really made the first move for an embraced was just when he'd really be having a bad day. And a bad day for Emmett was more like- getting picked on until he was late for class or when there were power outages kind of things. Which both happened quite a lot. "I'm sorry." he apologized to her since she was saying she was unhappy about it. "I'm here now."

She wrapped her arms around his waist and smiled into his chest. "Yes, you are. That cheers me up a whole deal. Knowing that you're here. Today just wasn't a good day for me."

"Yeah I know. I'm sorry." he apologized to her once more, with every ounce of meaning behind it. Like he'd been the one to completely distroy her day. Emmett slowly tucked his arm between her and the mattress, and both around her back. A blank look on his face as he continued on to squeeze her to him gently, though still at the slow pace, not at all in a rush obviously. He stared off into space, while holding her back like she was to him.

"It sucks getting dumped, doesn't it?" She muttered into his chest. "Thanks for the story, though, Emmie. Your stories are the best. That's never gonna change. You're a great friend."

He closed his eyes tightly and groaned followed by him grinding his teeth. "Mary Jaaa-aaaaaaane." he whined at her as always. She knew how he get. He just wanted to make her happy. He hated thank yous and complements. Especially from her. Just the way she said things sometimes. 'You're a great friend.' Thinking it over in his head just made him cringe and curl up even more.

Caylee giggled, pleased with the results. "Oh, Emmie! You're such a great person! Thank you so much for doing this all for me! You're so kiiind and niiiice. I wish I was such a good a person as you are. You're so haaaandsome and adoooorable."

He rocked back and forth shaking his head and then turned away from her barrying his face into the mattress. You could barely hear the well muffle screams. If anything 'handsome' and 'adorable' were the worst. Something in Emmett just couldn't stand listening to her or anyone, again especailly her, fuss over him like that. And besides the fact she was doing it completely one hundred and twenty percent on purpose- just to get it out of him, he still took the bait. "I didn't do anything!" he yelled, denying all the kind and great person comments- Though with his face dug into the bed like it was it sounded like he was yelling behind thick glass.

She climbed over him, burying her face into his back. "You do enough, Emmie," she murmured, nuzzling her cheek against his shirt. She always loved to tease him about how adorable he was. Apart from the amusement that his reaction always brought, it was the only way Caylee could actually voice how she felt about him without actually... voicing it.

"Dooooon't don't don't don't." he begged turning his head so atleast he could see now. He glanced up at her from the corners of his eyes and frowned his brows. He shived, feeling her face grazing into the fabric of his clothes and rubbing at his back and spine. Emmett bit his lip and blushed like always from the closeness. And the cuteness of the closeness. It's not like this was a rare thing- not at all. It was just Emmett felt like else and he'd have to start screaming into the pillows again.

"What would you do if I just fell asleep on you?" she asked, changing the topic smoothly. "Would you kick me off? Or just... stay smushed under my weight?"

Emmett's tone also changed with the subject. "...I'd probably leave you there, or try, but I can't s- like...you know. You probably would roll off on your own eventually." Emmett hated how much he moved in his sleep. And though he didn't like it, the fact that he did squirm a lot couldn't be denied. Though he wish it could be. That was probably the one thing he didn't like about sharing a bed with Caylee- that in the middle of the night he was bound to rub against her or fall off the bed waking her up. Usually in the morning they'd wake up and he'd be latched onto her in some way- if she was up before him. Otherwise he'd quickly pull away before she woke up and turn over going to the very edge of the bed.

Caylee giggled and rolled off him. "Remember when we were little and we had our bunk beds? And you'd have to come up and sleep with me because you were afraid that the monster would get you? And then you refused to switch beds with me because you knew that I was too brave and the monster would get me instead?"

"No." he answered her boldly. He didn't want to remember. And the lie was probably obvious. He wouldn't even hold back that she was the one who suggested he'd come up with her for that very first time. Or that all the thousands of times after that it would take forever for him to even get up there. Being that he was practicly two times as young he was two times as scared of heights as Emmett was now.
