5 : 49 and the clock still aged on fast. Emmett was beyond in a deep sleep, probably the best, even being short, in the last three weeks. The two were both centered in the bed, which was a good sign that he hadn't tossed to violently in the night. Being as if that were the case usually one of them would be on the edge of the bed. They seemed to be fine now. Some where in the night Emmett had switched sides with her being closer to the night stand and the other bed, rather than the outer side of the the bed. Also with in his fussing through the last few hours his right knee was against the back of her own, and his other leg tucked between both of hers. Both of his arms were wrapped around her middle not too tightly so with his head off the pillows more against her back.

By instinct, Caylee's eyes blinked open, and she leaned over to see the clock. Right on time. Getting out of Emmett's embrace was tough, but she managed to do it without waking him up. She got off the bed slowly and stretched, even though she had been sleeping for so shortly, she felt like she'd been sleeping for days. She slipped into her shoes and stared around the room for a second, until her gaze landed on Emmett. The boy that she had fallen for, even though it would seem like such taboo. She ghosted her hand through his hair and before she could even stop and think, she leaned down to lay such a gentle and chaste kiss, you couldn't even call it a kiss, on his lips. She raced out the room silently, closing the door behind her, her face a beat red. Breathing quickly she made her way out of his building and onto the campus, the sky a deep magenta.

The same digital clock that had rushed his best friend from the room went off at a quarter til seven. Emmett squeezed his eyes before gently opening them, expecting to see darkness from staring into the back of- but he saw perfectly clear all the way across the room. He closed his eyes and tried again. He was alone. He put his left hand out, streching it across the empty and cold sheet. "Mary Jane?" he called quietly still not taking it in. Suddenly he jumped moving unto his stomach and held himself up from the front, lifting him up just like a ramp, his head turned to the right. His eyes searched that side of the room rapidly and, his mouth hanging open on it's own. He turned his head to face forward and after a beat, dropped down onto the bed. He hated falling asleep with someone and waking up alone. It was one of the worst feeling in the world. He quickly reached for his phone that still sat charged next to the clock he'd just realized was still ringing. He seemed to have tuned everything out. He bitchslapped down on that clock to shut it up and then pulled the plug out of his phone. Opening it he didn't have any new notifications and he sat up on his mattress letting the sheets fall off his shoulder. He shook his head with his eyes closed feeling more than pathetic. Oh well.
