Alone there in the dorm, and Marc was a bit surprised since she was there later on a Thursday than usual. If she'd been there about an hour earlier, she was use to no one being there. They'd always shown up after she left and then were gone again by the time she came back. Though she was a custom to their absence she was almost disappointed that no one was there. It was just as well, since she had her usual lonely Thursday lunch plans.
She always came back to change and get money, since she never carried any on her. Marcellette slipped off her court.s and flats, leaving her in her 'I <3 NERDS!' baby tee, with Brainy Smurf over the heart- and her white with yellow smiley face boxers. Not even girl boxer. Just...boxers.
Her phone buzzed and she ran to catch it. Though no one caught her as she thumped to the floor, tripping over her pants. She rubbed her shoulder that had hit the corner of Pru's bed and ran around to her phone. She'd missed the call. It was a number she didn't recognize anyway. Great, all that for a missed call from some wrong number.

Blissfully, Pru's acting class was cancelled for the week. Her instructor had come down with some form of bronchitis (karma's a bitch, she thought happily), ending Pru's day two hours earlier than usual.
Hitching up her guitar in its bag on her shoulder, she opened the door to the dorm room, bumping it with her hip, swinging it forward just in time to see Marcellette fall to the floor to catch her phone.
"Whoa--you alright there?" she asked.

"You have the most beautiful timing in the world!" she announced as she brushed herself off, and threw sock off her shoulder. She smiled at Prudence meekly and then looked down to see how undressed she really was. "Shit! I guess that was an understatement." she corrected her self and hurried around Pru's bed it grab her jeans. "But really...you just had to heh, come in right as I fall on my face... ...in my underpants..." she added awkwardly. "Sorry." she apologized to her favorite roommate, though she didn't know either of them well enough, she wasn't sure if she even minded how indecent she was. Still it didn't feel right. And it was for her own embarrassment too.

Pru giggled, "I've walked in on far more embarrassing situations, trust me." She slipped off her checkered Vans and sat on her bed, slipping off her guitar. "Are you okay?"

"Just swell, heh, thanks." she told her quietly and quickly buttoned up her zipperless denims. She turned and snatched her jacket off Pru's bed. "Sorry!" she moved it to her own bed, tossing it the rest of the way while she picked out another shirt to wear, pushing away her cello case. "I need to stop using your bed as my personal shelf. Heh, better than Caylee's I suppose..." she admitted. The poor girl was still a bit frightened of her other roomie.

Pru laughed, "You don't have to be so skittish. It's only a jacket." She tucked her legs underneath her and reached into her backpack for her songwriting notebook, then unzippering her guitar bag. "I don't mind if you occasionally throw things onto my bed. Just as long as I can throw them back."

"Square at my head if it pleases you." Anything for you. Whatever you want. Anything for you. She ruffled through her bangs and sat up on her bed, her left leg under her as she pulled out her hair tie. She pulled out all order, and started to a tight thin bread on the left. "I was just going out to get some food." making small talk. This was really Marc's first experience with any girl-girl time. Ever. Other than...on that...very personal level. Which was just a headache to think about. Still Marcellette hadn't even really been to girl sleep overs before, and now she was living alone with these girls. These...incredible beautiful, funny, spunky girls. ...Girl. She smiled at Pru and moved on to the right side of her head for her second braid.

"Oh," Pru said, pushing some of her dark hair out of her eyes. When Marc didn't continue, she continued, "Did you...want some company?"

Her jaw could have hit the floor. It took a second to really register that Prudence had just offered to join her for lunch. "Oh um- y-...heh." she broke into a smile but then sucked in her lips glancing down for a moment. "Well...actually I'm kinda- I do this thing ever Thursday. I just get...stuff for sandwiches and come back here, make it, and eat. So I'm not...eh- going out to eat or anything." thinking she probably wouldn't be interested anymore. "I use to do that with my mom in the east but...heh." she shrugged then looked down while she finished her hair. "Really...stupid, boring stuff."

She smiled softly. "Well, that sounds like fun," Pru replied. "I'd love to join you, if you don't mind."

Marc slowly grew a smirk and beamed at her. "Yeah! I-I mean...yes. Yeah. That'd be...fine. Great. ...fine." trying to decide on a happy but not so cheery-eager word to use for it. They'd never even really spent this much one on one time together. They were either in silence, sleeping, or Caylee was around. She was just glad Pru wasn't feeling as awkward about it as Marc, probably obviously, was.

"I'm actually a little hungry myself," Pru admitted. "But sandwiches of any kind sound good." She put her notebook away and slipped on her Vans again. "My dad used to make these weird sandwiches ... always on a bagel ... with veggie cream cheese, salami and tomatoes."

She chuckled a little and also put back on her shoes, slipping her finger in the back to get it over her heels. "Oh, that doesn't sound too weird." she protested gently, and went to check her hair in their tiny wall mirror. She had to stand on the bed to see her head. She was completely flattered that her roommates even wanted to talk to her sometimes, she wasn't use to having older friends. And it was well public knowledge that Marcellette was a grade ahead of herself. She could make a good earning on homework for others. Not that she was smarter than anyone, but people were just always asking for her help.

"I thought it was," Pru laughed. "I mean, well, my parents were--should say are--a little offbeat. They always have been. My mother was British; she had a thing for cucumber and watercress."

"I love pickles, but I can't stand cucumbers." scrunching her nose up. It was very odd to her. She wish she could love them, since her brothers were fans, so there were plenty in the house. "Oh heh- Your mom. Sorry, I was getting off subject." Not really, but she just felt bad taking her story and putting it on herself. "So um...heh...did you...inherit any of those cooky tastes?" she asked her curiously.
