If there were two things that Caylee couldn't resist, it was a guy with a nice pair of abs, and candy. So, naturally, when she went to her dorm to get her cell phone and discovered Emmett's note, she immediately forgot what she was doing, and called Emmett's dorm. But no answer. Damn. So, she texted him. He answered back with a What's up? Then, after asking him where he was, she got a Library in return. She replied saying that she'd meet him there in a few seconds.
Caylee definitely couldn't say that her life wasn't going great right now. She had a boyfriend, she had avoided Ari-Drama, and now she was about to go receive caaaan-daaaay. Her life was going in pretty positive direction, there was no doubt about that.
When she got to the library, Emmett was easy to pick out. He wasn't doing anything weird enough to have him be obvious, but from so many years of experience, Caylee was able to pick him out of a crowd with great ease. He was facing away from her, so she walked up behind him and gently put her hands on his shoulders so that she wouldn't scare him by any sudden movements.
"Guess who?"

He'd been pulling forward the top corner of books down the row for awhile now. Every Crooked Pot looked good, but he didn't know the author. She was new. Define Normal, he remembered reading that in middle school. Twilight, he rolled his eyes and continued. His heart did jump just a little when he was touched but the voice gave it all away. "Desdemona?" he guessed bluntly, his voice quite airy. He wasn't too energized, obviously. He didn't even look over his shoulder at her. He simply answered her and went on with what he was doing.

"Mmmmnooo," she giggled, not quite catching onto his tone yet. Perhaps she thought it was part of an act Emmett was putting on. He's an actor. Actors... act. "Not even close, really. Try again."

Creating a slow grape-vine of sorts, he stepped his left foot past his right and then untangled them as he took another step, still moving down the line. "...Othello?" mock surprise and curiosity, not as good as the last time they did this- with Romeo and Juliet. Emmett took his first book completely off the shelf and gave it a look over. It had a very long title which he widened his eyes at, and quickly put it back.

"Nooo..." she followed him, standing behind his back. "Think more... you know, people from THIS century. And who are all these other people? Should I know about them? Are you trying to make me jealous?" she put her chin on his shoulder. "It's working."

He let out a sigh through his tight lips, getting tired of this game. Emmett didn't make any new guesses and walked around the back end of the shelf going to it's other side. He seemed a bit focused and yet dazed at the same time. He didn't really register the names of these books, not even reading them. He just glanced and continued to slowly cross one foot over the other as he moved down the aisle.

Okay, now she was getting a little stumped. Emmett never ignored her. Was it his time of the month, or something? She leaned back against the bookshelf next to Emmett. "...Something wrong?"

He smirked absently and repeated his actions on the top of each book as he had on the last shelf, pulling them out one at a time as if examining the size. "Oh sorry, should I be more physical? Was I being too passive? Not cute enough?" he slurred his words and tried to speak as casual as he could.

".... what?" she raised an eyebrow at him. What the hell was he talking? Of course he was cute enough, she told him so every chance he got. "Physical? What are you talking about? You've lost me."

"Nothing. I was just letting you talk. I didn't want to take over the conversation. You know, cause I'm just submissive like that..."

Submissive? "Emmett, what the hell are you talking about? Did I do something? You told me to call you, didn't you? Is this your idea of candy?"

His bag was hanging off his right shoulder, and he brought it around unzipping the front. Emmett pulled out the york pattie and handed it over to her without a word and then went back to the books.

... She didn't even like York Patties. "Emmett, won't you even look at me? You're mad at me. Why are you mad at me?" she paused, then added quietly, "... you've never been mad at me."

"I'm not mad." he told her casual and simple tone with a small shrug and head shake. He pushed his bag back behind him while squating to see the bottom shelf.

"Like hell you're not," she furrowed her brow, her mouth forming a concerned frown. "You're not exactly happy with me. I did something, obviously."
