Emmett just nodded and slowly turned his head to the side glance towards the floor, now bitting down on his bottom lip pulling it back.
"I've heard alot about you." he lied. "I'm um...surprised we never...have really been in the same show together or anything..." he just hoped that was true, though there was a good chance they were his freshman year. Now he just hoped Ari didn't remember that, since he couldn't correct himself now.
...He looked over his shoulder at Ari's company and after a pause titled his head putting some things together.
"Uh...f-friend of yours...?"

Ari glanced over his shoulder and gave a non-committal shrug. "Ye--well, no. I don't really know her. Just kind of hooked up at an audition last week. You know how it is."

He tilted his head down sharply, still keeping his eyes one him. ...I DO?
Emmett then tilted his head to the side, and relaxed back agianst the table, leaning onto his hands which were locked to the table top. He glanced to the floor for just a moment then back up at Ari. He wanted to know exactly what Ari was trying to say. Unless they'd broken up this morning and Emmett didn't know about it, which to him was very possible, Ari was hugging up to another girl, wasn't he?
"...How...is it?" he asked him cautiously, hoping he'd explain what he was doing with this other girl to him. Maybe it wasn't the right thing to get into their business like that, but it also couldn't be right to just watch and listen to him talk like his girlfriend was nothing special.

Another shrug. Ari grinned, "Well, y'know, when you just randomly meet up with someone...things are going good...you just click. Before you know it, you're hooking up. It happens."

"Oh uh, yeah, I guess." he raised both eyebrows at him. Is he serious? How could he be like that? He was with MJ wasn't he? So why did he sound like a single desperate bar hopper? Was this really a regular thing with him? It sure sounded like it was. Was his girlfriend aware of this? It seemed unlikely. She would kick him where it hurts, rub him into the dirt, and then ditch him.
"Are you and...Caylee...stilll?" he tired asking quietly, hoping for just a little information.

His jaw could have hit the floor. His emotions could have hit the wall. His hand could have hit his face!
Caylee seemed to have editted a few details- that or this guy had to have been one of the ignorant sex sacks Emmett had every had the misfortune of talking to. Something in him almost snapped, but he held back.
"Yeah. Yeah! She did. All that. The fucking...not...fucking part. Exactly." pushing his bangs towards the back of his head. "That's exactly what she's told me. That. Yes." Now excuse me while I go throw up. Nevermind, your shoes don't look too new, that'll be the perfect place to now spit up my breakfast. Enjoy.
He wasn't going to tell him that she'd completely protrayed him and even called him her boyfriend when Emmett had heard about him. And he also wasn't going to tell him to go to hell.
Originally Emmett had be nervious mainly over him and Caylee's behavior at home just this weekend, being today a Monday and first day back- though it was still possibly she could have mentioned it to her 'boyfriend' by now. Obviously it wouldn't even mattered if she did.

Ari warily raised an eyebrow. This guy was definitely wired on...something. But he didn't seem to have a coffee cup anywhere near him. "Well. I...uh...so I guess you did know about me, then."

"Well of course she's mentioned you." he assured him, before hearing "Lloyd" called out from behind the coffee maker. There was something about a public place like this calling out his name- why couldn't they just do numbers like every where else? So Emmett always used either his middle name or a most recent role name. One of his favorites being 'Rosencrantz' or a Peanuts character, but that got him some pretty weird stares from the employees. When he'd actually order with Caylee, they'd make such a game out of it. Either way, he had tea to be picked up.
"...that's...my order..." he pointed out weakly, feeling so weird about it because he had to go pick it up, but it was awkward to just walk away from Ari- even though he had wanted to for awhile...
